These take place every Thursday afternoon 2.00 - 4.0pm, no musical experience is necessary. This class teaches mostly guitar and ukulele. It is a very informal friendly group run by our lovely resident musicians Lilly and Tom who are very approachable and friendly. This is a great way to make new friends and learn a new skill.
Music group is free of charge, instruments are provided. Places are limited so please check with CentrePeace if spaces are available to book.
The music group also take part in the other musical events we have in Centrepeace, check out the videos and photos of Fire the Grid to see what they have gotten up to.
There are sessions morning and afternoon. 11 -1pm and 2 - 4pm. So far this year the group have been working on rag rugging projects with our resident Textile artist Petra Turner. As the year is coming to end we are looking at a new project for anyone who is interested and that will be quilt making starting in the new year. The group is free of charge although if you want specific materials for your quilt you will need to purchase those yourself. We often have a good supply of rags that can be cut up and used free of charge as well though.
The projects being worked on will change at intervals but project normally last for about 6 to 8 weeks.
The current project is quilting.
